2018 Massey Ferguson 1526
2018 Massey Ferguson 1526 Following the World AG Expo in Tulae, California last February, ran a piece highlighting the Massey Ferguson Global series. These 4700, 5700 and 6700 series tractors were developed from the ground up and are a result of customer input, the largest single investment in AGCO’s history yet, 21st century supply chain benefits, and thousands of hours of rigorous testing in some of the extreme Weather and terrain conditions. Of course, we couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel and see firsthand how these models fared on the field.
This opportunity would come sooner rather than later, and was the result of an email exchange with Big Boy’s toys in Pomfret, Conn, which just happened to deliver a series-topping 1526 to a customer nearby. That the buyer, John Wolchesky of LAPSLEY Orchards, had also ordered the tractor with a sunflower 1212-12 disc harrow, and was welcome to our riding SideSaddle while working one of their fields was just icing on the cake.
The Massey Ferguson 6700 series consists of two tractors that have rated 6712 and 1526, the engine horsepower of 115 and 125, or Max PS of 120 and 130, all at 2000 rpm. These tractors, only the deluxe (4700 and 5700 tractors, classic and luxurious configuration), 12 x 12 Power shuttle gears, wet clutch control knob on the foot pedal release switch and the shuttle lever, cast steel 4WD front axle differential lock and HydraLock, Tilt/Telescoping Steering, standard train, Fender hitch and spacious, quiet cab, instructional seat.
Power consumption (PTO) four-cylinder AGCO 4.4 L employee 1526 109 @ 2200 rpm and 114 PS @ 2000 d/d. This engines, the cooled turbochargers, SisuTronic EEM4 engine management and high pressure common rail direct injection to the EPA to obtain the final stage 4 (FT4), compatibility, diesel particle filter (DPF).
The 12 x 12 Power Shuttle transfer allows for a simple directional change without the need to clutch and comes with a dial knob for the reactivity that can buffer the abrupt and how the transmission picks up from a stopped position. and support these times when frequent gear changes are necessary, the setup of the operator can press the decoupling button on the shift knob, switch gears, and release the button to engage the new selection.
Hydraulics run even though a twin pump arrangement flows 15.1 gpm at the main and 10.8 gpm on the auxiliary circuits (25.9 gpm overall). Two factory valves, double-acting (DA), kick-out (KO) and float (f) are standard with a field installation option for a third valve, spring return to Neutral (SRN). Lift capacity for the Cat II 3-point Hitch (3PH) is 9,390 lbs measured at the industry standard of 24 “Behind the ball ends.

The position control is standard so that it can be returned to a precise operator, which resets the selected position, and can be used in conjunction with the above design control, which determines the implementation depth in Modulates the power consumption. Lower link arms have pull-out ball ends for easy attachment and the outboard stabilizers telescope for easy cinching of sway slack. As well as the tractor versatility, 540/540E/1000 rpm rear PTO are also standard fee deluxe trim.
The 1526 comes with Trelleborg Premium radial tyres, size 460/85R34 rear (min. width 64.8 “), and rides on a 98.4 ” wheelbase. Weight in the CAB configuration is 10,187 lbs. Onboard fuel is 38.3 gallons with the floor filling tank protected by a guard. Inside the cabin, tractor electronics are state of the art with the performance Monitor providing up-to-date data on details such as def fluid and fuel levels, temperature, engine hours, hectares per hour, fuel consumption per hour and acre, ECU error codes, PTO speed, and ground speed. Wolchesky trusted that even though he was aware of the amount of electronic control over tractor function Massey Ferguson had built in, most of the features he would probably never use-perhaps save them for that day when he was about to read the Manual.
